Oktoberfest 2024 Lake Tahoe

On September 28th, the Village at Palisades Tahoe will transform into a Bavarian playground to celebrate the annual Oktoberfest. The leaves will be changing colors and the Alpine landscape of Lake Tahoe presents the perfect backdrop for the festivities.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample authentic German beer, while listening to Bavarian music. This event includes fun games for the entire family.

Enjoy live entertainment by Joe Smiell's 20 Piece Bavarian Band, the Almenrausch Schuhplattler Dance Troop, and the Alpentanzer Schuhplattler Dance Troop, accompanied by the Alpentanz Kapelle Band throughout the day. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes!

Food will include authentic Brats, Pretzels, Swiss Slices, and traditional European desserts and pastries. Root Beer Floats will be available for the kiddos. The Pretzels are made by our local Truckee Sourdough Company.

Oktoberfestivities

All of the Oktoberfest Games are FREE to enter. These Games will take place at the new Gondola Plaza! This series of games is offered as "first come - first to participate."

Game Hours: 1PM-4PM

Stein Race: 1pm- Teams of (2) compete in a speed walk through an obstacle course.

Brat Toss: 2:30pm - Toss the bratwurst onto a keg, with each round adding difficulty, last person standing wins.

Stein Holding Competition: 4:00pm - Competitors hold a full, 1-liter stein in one hand at shoulder height. Last competitor holding full steins wins.

Erdinger, and Oktoberfest Craft beers come from Sierra Nevada, FiftyFifty, Alibi,Truckee Brewing, BrewBilt Brewing, Lagunitas and more.
