Dollar Point
Dollar Point was actually a track of land originally slated for an observatory because of its expansive views. The amenities and luxury homes of Dollar Point make it a much sought after neighborhood. Located off Hwy 28, in between Tahoe City and Cedar Flat, this large development is also close to the Nordic Center (walking distance across Hwy 28) and the cross country trails. During Summer, this area also offers excellent hiking with a reservoir that used to be used for cutting ice for delivery it into Nevada. The old structure can still be found weather beaten but a monument to days of old.
